A representative will pick you up at your hotel to embark on a fascinating tour, aimed at acquainting you with the religious art that has adorned our churches since the colonial period.
In the historic Old Town of Panama (Casco Antiguo), various congregations constructed churches and convents. Originally, the old Panama City was located at what is now Panama la Vieja. However, following a pirate raid and an attempt to save the city from further pillaging in 1671, a New City was established in the area that is now known as the Old Town (Casco Antiguo). Some of the churches and convents were relocated to the new city, while others were built later.
During the tour, we will visit the following churches and sites: Santa Ana Church, Nuestra SeƱora de la Merced Church, San Jose Church, Convent and Church of the Company of Jesus, Santa Maria La Antigua Church, Santo Domingo Church and Convent, San Francisco de Asis Church, and San Felipe de Neri Oratory.
Please note that a dress code must be adhered to when entering the churches.
It is recommended that you bring comfortable shoes, sunscreen, and a camera for capturing the experience.
