Visit the country's highest point, which is also a volcano! With an impressive height of 3,474 meters, Volcán Barú is the twelfth tallest peak in Central America and the only place in the world where, on the clearest days, you can see both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans simultaneously. The volcano and the surrounding land host five different ecosystems, thanks to a combination of mountainous rainforest regions and the consequences of volcanic eruptions that occurred millions of years ago.
Volcán Barú boasts seven craters and several hiking trails that you can embark on to witness them. Some paths are quite challenging, while others are shorter and more accessible.
