Tinamou Cottage is nestled within the 9-hectare "Habbus de Kwie" farm, where 3 hectares are dedicated to shade-grown coffee, 1 hectare is dedicated to gardens and meadows, and the remaining portion of the farm is lush forest. This charming cottage, situated on the coffee farm, rests on the edge of the forest, while the other two cottages, Highland Tinamou Cottage and the Great Tinamou Cottage, are hidden deeper within the forest.
Throughout the farm, we've established trail systems exclusively for our guests to explore. If you're a nature enthusiast or a bird lover seeking a tranquil and private escape, this is your ideal destination. Birdwatchers will be particularly thrilled with the diverse bird species here, as we boast various habitats and microclimates, featuring delightful creeks and a small river. In our garden area, the landscape opens up, with an abundance of nectar-rich flowers, attracting hummingbirds and a myriad of colorful birds.
We've recently built a new plantation house and revitalized a portion of the coffee plantation. Presently, 2/3 of the estate has been preserved as a private forest reserve. The luxurious cottages offer generously spacious and cozy living spaces, providing the perfect secluded getaway amidst the jungle on the estate.
Inside the cottages, you'll discover inviting living rooms furnished with colonial-style décor and fully-equipped kitchens. From your living room, step through large sliding doors onto a beautifully covered, expansive private terrace or observation deck, offering breathtaking views extending all the way to the ocean.
